Cania Gorge Tourist Retreat opened for business on 1st January 2002 and is a small family run business. We (Gerard & Margaret and their daughters Okki en Jette Klijn) arrived from the Netherlands in 2005 and took over the business on 13 July 2006. We travelled a lot ourselves and always wanted to run a caravan park, where we could meet travellers from all over the world.
The retreat is renowned for it’s unique location and friendly atmosphere. There is always time for a chat and we do our best to make your stay a pleasant one.
We are very proud of our park and care for it accordingly and are continuously upgrading it.
We consider ourselves very lucky to live in a country like Australia and we like to share our great fortune with others. That’s why we donate a percentage of our park’s turnover to the Imani Childrens Home in Nairobi (Kenya) every year. Through our donation, we help them build a self sufficient business. Locally we support various organisations by organising a Sausage Sizzle in wintertime.
